Bar Back / Bartender

Alfred's Steakhouse, an iconic San Francisco restaurant open nightly in the Financial District is hiring a Bar Back to assist our Bartender in a fast-paced, fine dining restaurant.  Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team with good communication skills, attention to detail and providing quality service.
  • Maintain an efficient set-up of the bar on a daily basis including stocking liquor, beer, wine, juices, soft drinks, garnishments, condiments, napkins and glassware.
  • Ensure bar and service area is organized, clean and neat at all times.
  • Quickly and accurately complete tickets.
Required experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience 
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, stays calm under pressure with the ability to think and act quickly
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a high volume fast paced atmosphere
  • Professional grooming and demeanor
  • Accountable, outgoing & energetic team player with a positive attitude
  • Resourceful, well-organized & detail oriented
  • Able to communicate effectively

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
